Regional content strategy & production
Content creation and social media management: who does what?
If you are looking for social media help, separate the need for better content from the need to run the accounts. That makes the right scope much easier to choose.
Start with the job you need done
“Social media management” can mean several different things. Some providers plan and create content; others also publish, moderate comments, respond to messages, report on account performance, or run paid advertising. The useful comparison is the responsibility list in the written scope.
KC Creative Studio is a regional content strategy and production studio. It plans, scripts, films, edits, and delivers content assets, graphics, posting-ready copy, and a recommended schedule. Your business retains account ownership and publishing responsibilities.
Who handles what in a KC partnership?
| Responsibility | Owner |
|---|---|
| Research, concepts, hooks, and scripts | KC, within the agreed content scope |
| On-location filming and editing | KC, with agreed access, rights, and production schedule |
| Graphics and post copy | KC, in the agreed deliverable mix |
| Recommended publishing schedule | KC supplies the plan |
| Uploading and scheduling live posts | Your business or social media manager |
| Comments, DMs, and customer follow-up | Your business or social media manager |
| Account access and permissions | Your business retains control |
| Paid-media buying and management | Not included in a content partnership |
When a production partner is a good fit
You may already have an owner, employee, or agency handling the accounts. If that person needs a clearer plan and a consistent supply of finished assets, a production partner can fill that part of the workload. Agree how files are delivered, who approves the content, and who publishes each item.
If no one can publish, answer inquiries, or manage the accounts, those responsibilities still need an owner. Producing more content does not automatically solve that operational gap.
Questions to ask before choosing a provider
- Who researches and writes the scripts?
- Who arranges filming, access, and participant permissions?
- What assets, formats, and revision rounds are included?
- Who publishes, and who responds when a customer asks a question?
- How will inquiries and business outcomes be recorded without treating views as sales?
KC can discuss the production responsibilities in a creative review. For the actual deliverables, see social media content creation and monthly content partnerships.
